I will share preliminary results about Brazilian far-right groups on Telegram from a mixed-methods perspective, articulating computational social science with digital anthropology.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"divider-wrap\" data-alignment=\"default\"><div style=\"margin-top: 12.5px; width: 20%px; height: 2px; margin-bottom: 12.5px;\" data-width=\"20%\" data-animate=\"\" data-animation-delay=\"\" data-color=\"extra-color-1\" class=\"divider-small-border\"><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t<p>This seminar is part of a series within the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ces.uc.pt\/en\/investigacao\/projetos-de-investigacao\/projetos-financiados\/unpop-desmontar-o-populismo\"><em>UNPOP project &#8211; UNpacking POPulism: Comparing the formation of emotion narratives and their effects on political behaviour<\/em><\/a>, which aims to explore how narratives of emotion allow a deeper analysis of the way populist phenomena constitute and influence political behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the series of events developed throughout the project will address several issues involving the recent growth of populism, focusing on the role of emotions &#8211; both those considered negative such as anger and fear, and those considered positive such as hope and love &#8211; in political behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>UNPOP is coordinated by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ces.uc.pt\/en\/ces\/pessoas\/investigadoras-es\/cristiano-gianolla\"><strong>Cristiano Gianolla<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Lisete M\u00f3nico<\/strong>\u00a0and is based at the Centre for Social Studies and by CINEICC &#8211; Center for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive and Behavioral Intervention of the University of Coimbra, and is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (PTDC\/CPO-CPO\/3850\/2020).<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t<p><strong>Bio note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo Nascimento<\/strong>\u00a0is the director of the Digital Humanities Lab at the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil).
