Round table ‘Rise of the Far Right’

Júlia Garraio and Cristiano Gianolla took part in a round table discussion on the rise of the far right and its impact on the rights of women and the LGBTQIA+ community. The initiative, which was organised by HeForShe Coimbra in collaboration with NERIFE/AAC, Júlia Garraio addressed the dangers of discourses against ‘gender ideology’ in Portugal. Cristiano Gianolla gave a historical, philosophical and sociological overview of Populism.

The event took place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra on 8 May 2024 in amphitheatre 2.2
