Teatrão and the UNPOP/CES-UC project organize this conference that, based on the season of presentation of "Revolution (Provisional Title)" in Coimbra, intends to reflect on the form and quality of the democratic participation of current societies. The UNPOP project, coordinated by researcher Cristiano Gianolla - curator and moderator of this conference - has been dissecting the narratives of populist emotion and their impact on the political behaviour of citizens, and therefore seemed to us the perfect partner to look at the evolution of citizen participation in the exercise of democracy in Portugal since 1974.
